Ian B. MacLeod was born in the UK where he worked as a graphic artist before joining the Merchant Navy. He emigrated to Australia in 1959.
Discovered by Johnny O'Keefe, Ian has worked as a fulltime professional singer/musician and recording artist for the past sixty years, touring Australia, New Zealand and Europe.
After recording for two major labels, he started his own record company in 1975, releasing more than one hundred albums and seventy-five singles for Australian artists.
Ian has personally recorded over twenty albums, three DVDs and he continues to write his own songs and poetry, some of which have been published in The International Book Of Poetry.
Whilst on tour in Northern Queensland, Ian discovered the legendary story of the Mountain Of Death - Kalkajaka. On his return to the Gold Coast, he visited his old friend, Barry Brady and after discussing it over a bottle of unwooded Chardonnay, they decided to turn this amazing true story into an exciting sci-fi adventure series and Brady Styles was born.
