Hi, it’s me – Fuzzy. Let’s start off like every celebrity starts off with a ‘Twitter moment’, but before we have that ‘Twitter moment’ let me explain my thoughts on ‘Twitter’. Twitter is for people, who in the most part have nothing interesting to say but say it anyway.
“Twitter away”, you say. Ok, so here is my uninteresting ‘Twitter moment’: For breakfast this morning I had roasted goanna feet with a side serving of fried witchetty grubs and boiled eel’s eyes, washed down with a glass of warm cow’s blood and milk. Now I’ll give you a moment to visit the bathroom before I ‘Twitter’ you my lunch menu.
I’m joking, folks, that’s just a chapter out of one of my children’s books. Yes, I’m writing children’s books for parents who don’t like having to read the same story every night and it’s working. Now the parent isn’t bored with the same old, same old every night and I sell more books because after they read one, they all end up in the bin.
Ok, so what else have I been doing the past forty or so years?
Since New World were forced to retire. Yep! FORCED to retire, that story is in my book ‘Guilty’. As to New World, John Kane, Mel Noonan & I, after the court case, we all went our separate ways. I might add that none of us are bitter about what happened, just a little sad we couldn’t continue to keep our fans, young and old alike, happy. And since then we have all been doing our own thing, although John & I have done a lot of songwriting together as we both live in Australia, the land of goanna feet, witchetty grubs etc.
Mel stayed in England and over the last few years John has gone off doing his own thing as well. Since then I have taken to writing novels and children’s books without the above-mentioned delicacies. Also, now I have two beautiful children to keep me on my toes, even though they are in their twenties, they are still my ‘little darlings’; no wife though, she left me because of my sense of humour, can’t blame her for that, right? In fact her leaving me actually saved my life because if she had stayed she probably would have killed me. I’m joking – my ex and I & are the best of friends.
Right, after this, the longest ‘Twitter moment’ ever, I hope I still have the odd fan left and I mean ‘odd’ in the nicest way, but I will always have one fan no matter what happens – me! Fuzzy John
