Hwa Rogers

Hwa Rogers was born in England and after spending some of her childhood in
Australia, decided to return in 1967.
Always a spiritual seeker, she quickly found the Buddhist path in the early 1970s.
In 1983, she went to Sri Lanka to become a novice nun, but moved on to
North East Thailand where she spent two years practicing in the Forest Mediation tradition.
She then went on to Taiwan, taking Bhiksuni vows in the Chinese Buddhist tradition, where she felt most at home.
Hwa returned to lay life in 1988, and now lives in the Glasshouse Mountains in South East Queensland.
